For recording information, ideas, or other piece of data, you can use Notes, and the Desktop Notes tab is for creating notes to remind you of several events, appointments, tasks, etc. For writing notes, you're provided with MS Word like text editor supporting various features for formatting, and adding picture, emotions, links, table, and more. The Search tab allows finding any of the recorded notes by specifying a related word, simultaneous to which you'd be shown the results.
