Actually for every productivity tool, it is hard to please all. However the latest function “to add custom fields in each module” has made Efficient Software stand out among other personal information manager competitors.
Here we take Efficcess all in one for example. Once access into software, we can click Tools–>Custom Fields then choose a module to add fields, also, we can edit the name or delete them as we like. Wholly, we can define the fields as text, date, date&time, numbers or Y/N options according to our different requirements.
Here are samples from our users.
1. Task module is mainly for to do list management and time reminder. In this module, people can easily track the progress, status of their schedules. Most people like to mark the specific time for tasks, so they add a fields “Specific time” and defined with date&time.
2. Once we do not need to track the schedules’ process, we just need reminders so that we can not miss any important events; we can manage info in Events module, such as birthdays, meetings, dates, appointments, daily schedules and so on. However, some like to mark complete or not for events so that they can know what they have done or not. So we can add a custom field defined with“Yes/No”.
For team group management, we can add a “assign to” button to convenient work.
3. Many customers use our Address Book to manage their customer relationship or students and so on. So we can add fields like: “Order No.”, School Enrollment No.” and so on.
4. Notes module is mainly to manage memos, notes. Example I like to record some good articles, poem and aphorisms. So we add fields “Writer” and defined with text.
